TORONTO --- June 8, 2007 --- EnviroTower is pleased to announce that it has acquired the North American licensing rights for IoBioTM — an automatic dispensing system for controlling bacteria, slime and algae in cooling water systems — from Baltimore Aircoil Company. IoBio will be sold as part of the EnviroTowerTM System, the first and only technology that completely replaces traditional chemical treatment for water in cooling towers.
The EnviroTower System uses a unique, patented technology that provides total control of the problems that typically degrade the performance of cooling tower systems including scaling, fouling, corrosion and contamination from bacteria. It consists of three components: a conditioner and a separator, which work together to clean the system of scale deposits and remove nutrients for bacterial growth; and a mineralator, which will now be integrated with IoBio to provide maximum protection against any residual and/ or chance bacterial contamination.
