TORONTO --- September 26, 2006 --- Murray McCaig, CEO of EnviroTower, a leading Canadian water treatment company announced today that Steve Siverns, former Director of Industrial Products for Zenon Environmental, will serve as the company's Vice-President of Product Development.
As the former Director of Industrial Products and Desalination Technology for Zenon, and Director of Commercial Operations for Glegg Water Conditioning, Siverns is one of Canada's top experts not only in the science and application of water treatment but also in bringing new technologies to market.
"We are pleased that Steve will be leading the optimization of our existing products and development of new technology as the organization grows. Steve is one of the most respected commercialization engineers in the water industry and his experience will be invaluable as we rapidly grow our business" said McCaig.
Steve has a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from McMaster University and has over 20 years experience in process design and product development of water technologies for industrial applications. The appointment of Steve Siverns adds to EnviroTower's already impressive team of water technology experts including James Dart, who was with the Ontario Ministry of Environment as a water specialist for over 30 years, and Aaron Nelson, VP Operations, who has over 12 years experience in industrial water treatment, much of it with GE Water.
EnviroTower is the most technically advanced system for cooling tower water treatment. The patented system completely replaces traditional chemical treatment; providing total control of scale, corrosion and other factors to create an exceptionally clean system that dramatically reduces energy and water consumption, while eliminating toxic water discharge to improve our environment.
